When I first came to Romania I thought I could feel lonely and that I couldn’t manage to be a good volunteer, but when I met the children and the staff at OBLIO I changed my opinion. They were so warm and welcoming!
Communication was a problem at the beginning, but then I made friends and they helped me, so I taught kids words in Georgian and they taught me my first words in Romanian. I also cooked for them and presented some facts about my country, my town, my religion. I helped at photographing and filming various events, and I organized cultural activities, I travelled (I especially enjoyed my trip in Bucovina). I experienced life among teenagers of my age and I learned to be more independent.
I felt good when I was appreciated for my work even if sometimes I missed my family and my life back home!
